HONG KONG—In the Hong Kong Hockey Association Premiership Khalsa-A, SSSC-A and Punjab-A all won their matches last Sunday Jan 25 retaining their respective positions in the Hong Kong Hockey Association Premier-A Division league.
Khalsa-A had a 5-1 win over HKFC-A, SSSC-A won 5-0 against KNS-A and Punjab-A defeated Valley-A 5-1. These results stretch the positions of the leading teams over the lower three teams in this elite division.
With just two more matches to play Khalsa-A and SSSC-A are both on 37-points while Punjab are 2-pounts adrift on 35-points.
In the lower half of the table HKFC-A are on 25-points, Valley have 20-points and KNS-A have 18-points.
Premier-B Division
In Premier-B Division Shaheen-A and HKFC-B continued to post good results. B-Table leaders Shaheen had a close 2-1 win over HKCC-A, HKFC-B beat Pak-A 3-1 and KCC-A recorded a 5-0 win over bottom places Rhino-A.
Fixtures
Matches for the penultimate week of the league Premier-A Division are: SSSC-A against HKFC-A at Sports Road, and at King’s Park: KNS-A play Valley and Khalsa-A play Punjab-A. In the Premier-B Division: Shaheen-A play Pak-A in the early match at King’s Park, KCC-A meet HKFC-B at HKFC, and Rhino-A play HKCC-A and Happy Valley.
Khalsa-A play Punjab-A this coming weekend and then SSSC-A in the final week of the league, the results of these matches are expected to determine the league championship winners.
