Katy Perry has arrived in Australia to perform concerts in Sydney and Melbourne, after hosting the Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles Monday night.
The 25-year-old pop star has signed a deal with Baskin-Robbins ice cream parlours to promote her new album Teenage Dream. The LP cover features Ms. Perry lying on a pink candy floss cloud.
The album release date is August 27, dubbed “Katy Perry Day,” and anyone who mentions Ms. Perry’s name on this day in one of Baskin Robins 25 shops in Sydney and Melbourne will receive a free “cotton candy” ice cream.
The California Gurls star said she has been working so hard on her second album that she has had no time to party.
“I’m still working, like, 13-hour days, five, six days a week and singing on top of it,” she said.
Ms. Perry said she avoids getting drunk for the sake of her career and wants to keep the quality of her second album as high as possible.
