Veteran journalist Katie Couric offered a simple answer to the rift between Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan—everything will pan out.

“My feeling is they'll work it out,” Couric said to E! News at the 2016 Matrix Awards in New York City on April 25. “I think Kelly, obviously, should be included in any kind of massive transition like that. Hopefully she'll move forward and Michael will move forward and it will all work out. Yes, it’s been quite a brouhaha.”

As reported, Kelly Ripa will rejoin Strahan on “LIVE! With Kelly and Michael” on April 26, after taking a hiatus since Strahan’s announcement that he'll be leaving for “Good Morning America” in September.

“People are fascinated by behind the scenes drama of people who are on television. They want to know, ‘What do they really think? Do they really like each other? What are they really like?’” the Yahoo’s global news anchor told E! News. “So I’m not surprised it’s getting so much attention. But I think they’re both great people, and I think they'll move on from this.”

The anticipation of Ripa’s return has pal Andy Cohen “looking forward to tomorrow.”

When the 45-year-old host was away actresses Ana Gasteyer and Shay Mitchell along with journalist Erin Andrews filled in for the missing-in-action Ripa.

As for who will replace Strahan when he is gone, Couric hasn’t a clue.

“I have no idea. Honestly, I have no dog in that hunt, as they say.”
