Former Vice President Al Gore’s daughter was among 23 people arrested during a organized protest in Boston on Wednesday, June 29th.
The demonstrators were protesting against the construction of a natural gas pipeline by the Texas-based company Spectra Energy. To protest, Karenna Gore was among many others who lodged themselves in a trench dug for the pipeline and refused to move until firefighters removed them, said protest group Resist the Pipeline & Stop the West Roxbury Lateral.
The group is a local group that opposes the pipeline due to safety and environmental concerns.
