Joe Son, a former mixed-martial arts fighter who appeared in UFC 4 and a villain in “Austin Powers,” was charged with murder and could face the death penalty.

TMZ reported that Son, 42, who played Random Task in the film, was charged with murdering his prison cellmate. He was serving a life sentence in California’s Wasco State Prison for torturing a woman.

His slain cellmate was Thomas Graham, who was serving a 2-year sentence.

Son, a South Korean national, allegedly killed Graham by kicking and punching him.

He could face the death penalty due to the brutality of the murder, prosecutors have said.

Son appeared in UFC 4 in 1994, losing to his opponent. He fought in several other MMA promotions, losing all his fights.

He also appeared in the first two “Shootfighter” movies and a Lorenzo Lamas movie, “Viper,” in 1994.
