Jodi Arias trial: The trial for Jodi Arias, an Arizona woman accused of murdering her ex-boyfriend, is set to close after the presiding judge ordered that the closing arguments should be made Thursday.
ABC News reported that the judge said Wednesday is the very last date of the testimony.
Arias has been charged with killing boyfriend Travis Alexander in his suburban Phoenix home in 2008. She said that he attacked her after she dropped his camera, forcing her to grab her gun.
Prosecutors have argued that the murder was premeditated.
ABC News said it obtained documents in which Travis filed a police report saying his tires were slashed months before he died.
In February, the prosecution grilled Arias when she took the stand.
Arias faces a potential death sentence if convicted of first-degree murder in the June 2008 killing of her one-time boyfriend at his suburban Phoenix home. Authorities say she planned the attack on Travis Alexander in a jealous rage. Arias initially denied involvement then later blamed it on masked intruders. Two years after her arrest, she said it was self-defense.
The trial continued Wednesday afternoon as the prosecution called witnesses ahead of closing arguments next week. A medical examiner is expected to testify Thursday.
Last week, it was reported that one trial regular sold her seat to another person for $200, with both getting reprimanded by the court.
