New York Yankee middle infielders Derek Jeter and Robinson Cano were awarded with Silver Slugger Awards at shortstop and second base, according to a report on MLB’s website.

The Silver Sluggers Awards have been given annually since 1980 to the best hitters at each position.

Cano hit .313 with 33 home runs and 94 RBIs in 161 games this past season. The left-hander who just recently turned 30 accumulated 196 hits including 82 for extra bases and had a slugging percentage of .550 in winning the award for the third straight season and fourth overall.

The 38-year-old Jeter led the league with 216 while hitting .316 in 159 games with 15 home runs, 58 RBIs and 99 runs scored. The Silver Slugger Award for Jeter is his fifth overall and first since 2009.
