“They are letting one or two local vehicles through at a time. Cactus Jack’s is a river right now,” local Dean Dalvit said Friday morning, referring to a popular downtown bar. “It probably is 2-3 feet full of water. It looks like an island with the river flowing around it.”

Students at Evergreen High School were taken from the school to Evergreen Middle School due to high waters, reported CBS Denver.

Bear Creek also forced the closure of Highway 74, 9 News reported.

KDVR reported that downtown Evergreen was flooded.

Police also told drivers to avoid 80th Avenue from Kipling to Hoyt after Farmers Highline Canal in Arvada.
