Lee Fierro, who appeared in “Jaws” and other films,” died at age 91 from COVID-19 complications.

Kevin Ryan, artistic director and board president for Island Theatre Workshop, confirmed the news to Entertainment Tonight and the Martha’s Vineyard Times. Fierro had worked there for more than 40 years when she lived in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.
“We will miss her terribly. She spent 40 years here on the vineyard,” Ryan told Entertainment Tonight. “I’ve been working with her for 30 years here [on Marthas’s Vineyard] and three years since she moved [to Ohio].”

According to Ryan, other than her appearance in “Jaws,” she also taught more than 1,000 children the art of theater. She had been living in Ohio in an assisted living facility when she died, according to the reports.

“The one word I would think of when I think of Lee is dedication. I’ve watched her as a performer, director and business woman and then we became friends. She was my teacher and mentor,” Ryan told the Vineyard Times. “I would still call Lee for artistic discussion and commentary. She was fiercely dedicated to the mission of teaching. She, no matter what it was, would stay at it and get the job done.”

MJ Munafo, the artistic director at Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse in Vineyard Haven, told the outlet that Fierro “was a huge presence on the Island theater community,” adding that she had “worked with hundreds of young people who just adored her.”

In the Steven Spielberg classic, she played Mrs. Kintner, who was the mourning mother of Alex Kintner (Jeffrey Voorhees) and the second victim of the great white shark.

The Epoch Times refers to the novel coronavirus, which causes the disease COVID-19, as the CCP virus because the Chinese Communist Party’s coverup and mismanagement allowed the virus to spread throughout China before it was transmitted worldwide.
