Japan’s Former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was shot dead in an assassination. Abe was holding a campaign speech for a parliamentary election when he was shot in the chest.

The father of the suspect in the Highland Park shooting spoke to the New York Post this week. He says he wants a long sentence for his 21-year-old son if found guilty, saying actions have consequences.

New York City is opening a second monkeypox vaccine location. It comes as the city health commissioner says New York is the ‘epicenter’ of the U.S. outbreak.
