James Corden and Justin Bieber are fans of each other—the pair have belted out Bieber’s lyrics several times on the “Carpool Karaoke” segment of “The Late Late Show With James Corden.”
But this time Corden used Bieber’s lyrics for a different purpose—the production of a soap opera—sans Bieber.
On the April 5 airing of “The Late Late Show With James Corden,” Corden enlisted the help of Salma Hayek, Ray Romano, and Gary Oldman to star in a 5-minute soap opera titled, “The Bold and the Lyrical.” The dialogue entailed of the Canadian star’s lyrics from songs, “Never Say Never,” “Sorry,” “Baby,” and “What Do You Mean?”
Viewers watched Hayek juggle three relationships with her co-stars. The set opened up with Hayek and Romano expressing their love for each other as he fed her a strawberry. Suddenly, Corden appeared, startling the Hayek who denied she was romantically involved with Romano. After a dialogue exchange among the three, another lover of Hayek appeared: Oldman. The three men then came to the realization that Hayek have been using them all, deciding to call it off with her. Hayek, visibly upset, plops on the sofa headfirst.
