Jakarta Fashion Week, which is aimed to make Jakarta a major worldwide fashion hub, this year showcased collections inspired by Indonesia’s rich heritage in a variety of traditional fabrics while adhering to a modern theme. Each year, JFW helps the careers of new up-and-coming designers with its popular Young Fashion Designer Award segment. The 2010/11 show ran from Nov. 6-12.
