India takes on West Indies in the 2nd ODI cricket match on Saturday.
The game at Feroz Shah Kotla Ground in Delhi is slated to start at 2:30 p.m. IST (9 a.m. BST; 5 a.m. AST).
The match will be broadcast on Star Sports in India and Ten Sports in the Caribbean.
It will also be broadcast on SuperSport in South Africa, Willow TV in the United States and Canada, and Sky Sports in the United Kingdom.
Live streaming will be available through most broadcasters.
West Indies surprised many by winning the 1st ODI by 124 runs, especially after losing twice to an India A team.
“West Indies are an erratic one-day team. They can be prone to self-destruction. West Indies are an endearing one-day team. Their batting line-up boasts the kind of power that excites most followers of cricket, and they have a number of interesting characters in there. Addressing this split-personality issue would be high on the visitor’s agenda with the World Cup on the horizon, and they took a step towards that in Kochi despite being without a few first-choice players,” noted CricInfo.
“They bucked a perception of their batsmen being allergic to singles--there were 92 of them in a total of 321--and their bowlers harnessed the advantage of a huge total well. Sustaining a performance like that has been a problem though as a record of 18 wins against 20 losses over the past two years suggests.”
India is already looking ahead to the World Cup, so Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be looking to set his combination in order before the team travels Down Under in six weeks.
“The batting slots are more or less fixed even though the side was shot out for a paltry 197 on a belter of a track at Kochi. The biggest concern is Virat Kohli’s prolonged lean patch since the tour of England. Even former skipper Sunil Gavaskar has spoken openly about Kohli’s technical flaws but opined that the talented batsman should be dropped down the order to make him get back to his run-making ways,” NDTV said.
“India’s fortunes in this series and their title defence in the upcoming 50-over showpiece event depends a lot on Kohli’s form.”
The 5 ODI series will continue on Tuesday with the 3rd ODI, with the 4th ODi slated for Friday, October 17 and the 5th ODI slated for Monday, October 20.
After that, a T20 International and a 2 Test series are scheduled, with the last match slated for Friday, November 14.
