India Q&A, ‘Has the spirit of being a proud Indian faded away in recent times?’

Partha Gupta, 43, Founder of The Connection Academy, Hyderabad: The spirit of being an Indian is not actually fading away, rather, what you see is the usual activity of the schools and the bunch of jobless youth behind the politicos. There is a scare for survival needs in people due to high inflation and the nation has thus gone behind the curtains for them. The average Indian loves his country, yet is a mute witness to the coalition needs of the governing body. The spirit has in fact not faded it is just jaded at the moment, and will rise when it can take no more.

India will celebrate its 65th Republic Day on January 26. The day commemorates the date on which the Constitution of India came into force in 1950, celebrating to remember the brave martyrs and heroes who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
