In labor at Blackhawks gameA pregnant fan of the Chicago Blackhawks apparently wouldn’t miss her team’s playoff game against the Minnesota Wild for anything.

So when Donna Lebano went into labor, she stayed until the end.

Lebano said there was “no way was I leaving,” according to ABC Chicago.

“We are a Hawks family. I had to see the end of the game,” she added.

Her first contraction took place during the second period, but she waited until the end when the Blackhawks beat the Wild 5-1. She later went to the hospital and delivered her son, Owen Michael, a few hours later.

“Owen is such a great baby, very patient. We’re doing fantastic and we think of Owen as Hossa’s hat trick. Two goals in a playoff game and a baby delivered moments after getting to the hospital is an epic hat trick,” Lebano added.

Barb Wilczek, who went with her sister to the hospital, told WGN-TV that the unfolding of the game may have contributed to the situation.

“Nothing like an exciting Hawks game to induce labor,” Wilczek said.
