The iHeartRadio Music Awards, a competition staged by iHeartRadio that aims to honor the best in TV and music industry, will be broadcasted live from LA on Thursday May 1, 2014 on NBC at 8 p.m.
iHeartRadio is a free all-in-one digital radio service that allows audience listen to over 1,500 live radio stations or create personalized commercial-free custom stations, according to their site.
Performing at the Awars Show will be: Pharrell, Blake Shelton, Kendrick Lamar, Shakira, Luke Bryan, Ed Sheeran, Bastille, Pitbull, Ariana Grande, Arcade Fire, and Thirty Seconds to Mars.
Fans can still vote for their favorite Instagram celebrity to win the iHeartRadio Instagram Award. Competitors include: Rihanna, Harry Styles (One Direction), Selena Gomez, Austin Mahone, and Ariana Grande.

Although the idea of an additional competition-like show is proving to draw lots of attention, as host Ryan Seacrest announced on the radio that the competition received over 13 million votes through social media by 11 a.m. on Thursday, there has been skepticism about the concept.
“Even before it airs on NBC, the two-hour ‘ceremony’ seems less a celebration than a synergistic infomercial,” wrote Los Angeles Times Pop Music Critic, Randall Roberts.
