A plane crashed in Cataldo, Idaho, on Sunday night.
KHQ-TV reported that the Idaho State Patrol confirmed a plane went down near Cataldo located in northern Idaho. The patrol was joined in the search by the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office and the Shosone County Sheriff’s Office.
KREM-TV reported that after more than three hours of searching, officers have located the plane crash outside Cataldo on Beaver Road.
There’s no word yet on what kind of plane it is or how many people were on board, but the Spokesman-Review reported that there is an experimental KR-2 plane missing from the Shoshone County Airport. The plane is a high-speed, two-seat monoplane.
Local residents said that they heard on the scanner that the crash was found in somebody’s backyard; the people apparently weren’t home at the time of the crash.
