According to the director of the upcoming sci-fi adventure “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1,” there will be two very distinct Mockingjay films.
The first part will feature some great battles and will include scenes that weren’t in the book.
Director Francis Lawrence said “There’s definitely some battles, there’s a tonal shift from the last movies. But they’re still very emotional, very sweeping on a grand scale with some levity and humor.”
“The Hunger Games:Mockingjay Part 1” will hit theaters on November 21, 2014.
In other news, Lionsgate is pushing for a plan to develop a “Hunger Games” theme park on one of the four continents.
According to E News, Lionsgate executives told investors that “In addition to the mobile game partnership and ‘The Hunger Games’ traveling museum we announced on the last call, we’re deep into conversations with prospective partners on four continents to explore theme park attractions and other location-based entertainment opportunities.”
The news brought mixed reaction form fans of the franchise as the concept of “The Hunger Games” is for children to kill other children in an enclosed space to see who is the strongest/smartest.
