NISHINOMIYA, Japan–Shen Yun Performing Arts New York Company presented the last performance of its Japan tour at Hyogo Performing Arts Center at Nishinomiya City in Kansai, Japan, on Feb. 21. After watching the evening show, former councilor of Yao City in Osaka Prefecture, Mr. Bo Miyake, who is also a human rights advocate, said that he would recommend Shen Yun to all his friends.
As a fan of New York-based Shen Yun, Mr. Miyake said: “I watched the show every year, and felt the program is extraordinarily good, and the artists are very professional, their skills are extremely high. Whenever I see the show, I always enjoy a set of all new refreshing programs.”
When mentioning the program that showcased a battle between good and evil, and scenes depicting the courage of Falun Gong practitioners in China, Mr. Miyake said: “The faith in Gods and Buddhas is the most basic human right of everyone in the world. I just cannot understand why the Chinese Communist regime is so afraid of the people who believe in Gods and Buddhas.”
He added that he was more than willing to recommend Shen Yun to all his friends, saying: “Shen Yun Performing Arts’ artistic and spiritual values are best representative of the essence of traditional Chinese culture. Therefore, I will definitely recommend it to all my friends.”
Full of Praise
Human Rights lawyer, Shinichi Tokunaga, who watched Shen Yun for a second time, said he appreciated Shen Yun and its orchestra for presenting such wonderful performing arts to Japanese people.
Full of praise for the fusion of Western and Chinese music, he said: “Terrific, the orchestra is also excellent, creating a remarkable sound. Whether the erhu solo or the solo vocal performance, their performances are conveyed here,” he said, pressing his hands against his chest.
The audience appeared transfixed by the New York-baed Shen Yun company. “Beyond any description! The female performers, walking out of the clouds into our sight, are too beautiful to fit into any description,” he said.
Deeply touched by the final program, Before Disaster, the Divine is Rescuing, he said: “The final one is really good, with that kind of feeling conveyed to me, [good prevailing over evil] renewing my power to fight on. The program is the greatest, leaving me awestruck.
“I often dream about something like that, ascending someday. What will that be like?” he sighed.
“A performance like this, featuring authentic culture, as well as what Falun Gong emphasizes, is very good, exactly what I look forward to.”
