If you are wearing glasses, one of the most common questions you have to deal with is how to do your makeup. That’s why Isabel, a pro makeup artist, and a glasses-wearer herself shares tips on how to make your eyes pop from behind your frames. She takes us step-by-step through her favorite glasses-friendly eye makeup look, with easy eye contouring, a hint of shimmer, and a bold cat eye - and shows us a simple way to dress up this daytime look for the evening.
Step one:
Depending on how blind you are, you maybe will need a mirror that has a magnifying side, so that you can look at a details of your eye make-up.
Lenses can highlight any discoloration you have underneath your eyes. So the first thing you want to do is to start with brightening concealer that will brighten eye-area. Then apply shadow primer.
Step two:
Now when your eyes are nice and ready to go, the key when wearing the glasses is to accelerate your natural eye-shape by contouring in your eye crease. Avoid overly shimmer shadows, which can compete with your glasses. Lining the lower lash helps eyes stand out behind glasses.
Step three:
Now we can move to eyeliner. The thicker your glasses frame, the thicker your line should be to balance it out. When applying mascara, allow it to fully dry before putting glasses on to avoid spots on your lenses. Don’t forget on your eyebrows and you are ready to go.
