A script page that’s reportedly from House of Cards season 3 turns out to be an April Fools joke.

Beau Willimon, creator of the popular political series that airs on Netflix, is well aware that fans who already watched all of season 2 very much want to know about season 3--even though it won’t be released until 2015.

Willimon took to Twitter on April 1 to share a so-called sneak peek of the upcoming season, but it turned out to be a joke.

The opening scene from the fake script focuses on Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey), who breaks through the fourth wall to address the audience directly.

The prank wasn’t well-taken by fans.

“Why must you torture us, Beau??” asked one.

Others appreciated the joke, though.

“Nicely played,” said another.
