Philip Seymour Hoffman spent about $1,000 on a final drug deal before he died, reports the New York Post. The actor bought heroin and cocaine before he was found dead in his Manhattan apartment on Sunday.

The Post reports that law-enforcement sources describe Hoffman buying the drugs from two dealers outside of a D’Agostino store near his West Village home on Saturday night. Both dealers wore messenger bags and stood nearby as Hoffman withdrew $1,200 from an ATM around 8 p.m. on Saturday night.

“That’s when the [drug] transaction took place,” law-enforcement source told the Post.

Hoffman’s body was found the next morning around 11 a.m. with 23 empty bags and 49 sealed bags of heroin.
