“An entire class at Anderson High School was caught cheating. The teacher knew that something was wrong when everyone got a perfect score on the test”(CBS This Morning).
WWJ TV reports two juniors at Anderson high school in Southgate Michigan admitted to taking cell phone photos of their answer key while their teacher was in the hall. They then shared the information through a group text.
“Just because you can take a picture with your cell phone of anything that you want, it doesn’t mean that it’s a good idea”, says superintendent Leslie Hainrihar.
The most immediate punishment – while everyone else is enjoying summer break, the entire class has to come back and retake the test.
The school’s superintendent said further consequences will depend on each student’s history of misconduct and suspensions in the fall are a possibility.
“These kids were in the eleventh grade – clearly they knew that what they were doing was wrong,” adds Hainrihar, according to WWJ TV. “I’m a little disappointed that they would choose to not only take a picture of an answer key but then share it globally. It’s disappointing that at this age we have to have that conversation with them”.
