Harper on Annual Arctic Tour
Prime Minister Stephen Harper is on his seventh annual tour of the Canadian North.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper rides an ATV in Yukon’s Carcross Desert, the smallest desert in the world. Harper arrived in Yukon Aug. 20 for his seventh annual tour of the Canadian North. He is accompanied by Health Minister Leona Aglukkaq and Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Minister John Duncan. The trip also includes a visit to the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and northern Manitoba. The PM is expected to make several announcements in support of the economic and social development of the North. Jason Ransom
