Gwen Stefani, the pop star and fashion icon of No Doubt fame, rocked New York during the spring 2011 fashion week with her new LAMB clothing line. She personally appeared on the catwalk of the show, dressing up in her own LAMB collection.
Backstage during the show, Stefani spoke about No Doubt’s up and coming album, the first since the group released ‘Rock Steady’ in 2001.
“I´ve been writing, listening to a lot of music. I just kinda chose stuff has been inspiring me,” said Stefani during an interview with AP. “It´s hot. I can´t wait to give it to everyone.”
The singer also said that while she hopes to complete the new album before December, having kids does not allow her to work all night as she did with other No Doubt members before. “It might take a little longer, but it´s worth it,” said Stefani who said she was going back to her studio right after the fashion show.
The band´s seventh studio release is expected to hit the market in 2011, with nine songs reportedly having been written so far. No Doubt also plans to release a low-cost album featuring “greatest hits and favorites from the most popular artists in music,” according to the band´s official website.
“We are having the best fun we have ever had making this record,” said Tony Kanal, No Doubt bassist.
