Gwen Stefani’s appearance on the May 4 airing of “The Late Late Show With James Corden” was b-a-n-a-n-a-s!

The No Doubt singer partook in the popular segment of carpool karaoke as Corden weaved through Hollywood streets en route to work.

At the start of the segment, Stefani, in her signature red lipstick, belted out No Doubt’s 1995 hit, “Don’t Speak.” In the interim, Corden sought advice for his wife who’s interested in the “ageless” singer’s beauty regimen.

“I feel like you are Benjamin Button,” said Corden. “You’re not aging—I feel like you’re getting younger.”

The 46-year-old musician credits happiness.

“I kind of started falling in love and then I wrote a whole record about that. That’s what the facelift is, I think,” she said. “I’m writing music about happiness and that is true.”

The pair then sing Stefani’s 2006 single, “The Sweet Escape” featuring Akon. Corden, who is usually great with lyrics, finds it difficult to follow along to the first verse, and Stefani offers assistance.

“I must apologize for acting stank & treating you this way/Cause I’ve been acting like sour milk all on the floor/It’s your fault you didn’t shut the refrigerator/Maybe that’s the reason I’ve been acting so cold?” sang the pair several times.

Things took an emotional turn when the pair sang Gwen Stefani’s latest single, “Used to Love You.” In an interview with the Today show, Stefani stated the ending of her marriage with husband, Gavin Rossdale was the inspiration behind the track.

“I’ve never put a record out where I’m actually going through things in real time. I wrote that song like a couple weeks ago,” she said to Matt Lauer last year.

When the duo happened upon an HOV lane, a traffic lane restricted for vehicles with four passengers, Corden pulls over to call a guy who’s “got nothing to do” to join them. He calls George Clooney. Still not meeting the criteria, Clooney then calls his friend, actress Julia Roberts.

Once on the road again, Stefani’s hit single, “Hollaback Girl” blares through the speakers with everyone melodically singing along.

As the journey comes to an end, the foursome sings the lyrics “we are the champions, my friends/And we'll keep on fighting ’til the end/We are the champions” by Queen.
