An explosion was reported at Gramercy Park in Manhattan but that turned out to be untrue, fire department officials said. The “explosion” actually was just a blown tire.

“Reports of a small bomb exploding in a building on Lexington Ave, Manhattan, were unfounded,” the FDNY wrote on Twitter.

A building was evacuated, according to reports.

Gramercy Park is a neighborhood on the Lower East Side of Manhattan in New York City.

EMS and fire department officials are on the scene at the building located at 88 Lexington Avenue, ABC reported.

The alleged incident took place at 12:45 p.m. ET.
