Google on Wednesday said that an outage that left many without access to YouTube, Gmail, Google Drive, and other services was over.
“The issue was quickly resolved and is now over. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused our users there,” Google said in a statement to CNN.
Numerous users on Twitter said they could not access the company’s services, with the majority of the outage affecting people in the southeastern U.S.
“Google is down. Consequently the whole Internet feels kinda broken,” user Jon Steingard wrote.
The outage reportedly started at around 9:30 a.m. EST.
Website DownRightNow noted that service status for Gmail is “up.” However, DownForEveryoneOrJustMe said that Google was still down for some as of 12 p.m.
