A “fun fact” broadcast during the lead-up to the Golden Globes on January 12, 2014 has sparked outrage.

The “fun fact” was broadcast during the pre-awards broadcast on E! News.

It said that Michael J. Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 1991.

People on Twitter expressed displeasure with the choice. 

“Somewhere, a graphics person should be fired,” said on user.

“This is in no way a FUN fact,” said another.
