George Jung made his first public comments since his early release from jail, revealing the first thing that he ate post-release.

Jung said that he was worn out after his flight to San Francisco, where he'll be staying at a halfway house.

Asked what the first thing he ate after getting released was, he said “Clam chowder -- New England.”

Jung was a prolific cocaine dealer who some say was responsible for up to 90 percent of the drug in the United States in the 1970s and 1980s.

His life story, from getting involved with moving marijuana north from Mexico to going to jail, then making connections in jail to start an unprecedented cocaine outfit, was documented in the movie “Blow.” Johnny Depp portrayed Jung in the film.

“I was a guy who had a lot of money and unlimited access to cocaine and even if I looked like Bela Lugosi I still had the most beautiful women on the planet because everybody at that time, especially women, were in love with cocaine and of course in love with the money–the access to the automobiles, the clothes, the dinners, the lifestyle,” he recounted to PBS.

“Basically I was no different than a rock star or a movie star. I was a coke star,” Jung continued.

However, Jung also recounted in another interview how he came to understand how “evil” cocaine is, and how he grew addicted to the criminal lifestyle even though he was a millionaire.

Jung was originally slated to be released in November of this year but for still-unspecified reasons was released early from FCI Fort Dix prison in New Jersey. He'll be under supervision for eight years as part of his sentence.

He was also asked if he had anything else to say.

“Life’s a rodeo, and the thing you have to do is stay in the saddle,” Jung said, smiling. “And I’m back in the saddle now.”
