On a visit to Amsterdam where George Clooney was attending a charity event, a Dutch reporter surprised the actor by asking whether rumors are true his wife Amal Clooney is pregnant.

The video shows Clooney’s reponse to the question just after he finished talking about the work his wife has been doing as a lawyer specializing in international law and human rights cases.

“No, but I like that you started that rumor,” Clooney responded to the reporter who works for the Telegraaf, the largest newspaper by circulation in The Netherlands. “She just starts rumors,” he added, motioning to the reporter laughing.

Speculation about a potential pregnancy has been flying around for months, but so far there has been no indication that any of the rumors are true.

As for Amal, she made headlines herself this week by helping secure the release of former Maladives President Mohamed Nasheed who was sentenced to 13 years in prison following a military coup that ousted him from power in 2012. But no sign of a baby bump.
