Garcia, Woods meet: Weeks after their spat during the Players Championship, Tiger Woods and Sergio Garcia met on Monday and shook hands.

The two spoke briefly while on the driving range at Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pa., reported ESPN.

Garcia famously made a “fried chicken” remark to Woods on May 21 after the two had a disagreement over the tactfulness of Woods’ choice to pull out a club while Garcia was trying to hit. Garcia has since apologized for the comment.

Garcia said that Woods lacked tact when he pulled a club out of his bag, drawing applause. Both had disagreements over the move.

Later, he said that “we will have him round every night. We will serve fried chicken.” The comment set off a wave of criticism.

Woods did not respond directly to it, but tweeted on May 22: “I’m confident that there is real regret that the remark was made”
