SEBRING, Fla.—Scott Pruett and Scott Dixon in their pair of Ganassi Racing Riley Fords were the quickest cars on track in Friday morning’s practice session for the 62nd Mobil 1 Sebring 12 Hours.
In conditions which will likely approximate those at the start of the race on Saturday, Pruett in the #01 was quickest in the Prototype class and overall with a lap of 1:53.241, a time he set on his final lap.
Teammate Scott Dixon, who was quickest in the first and third sessions, could only manage second Friday morning, turning a lap of 1:53.5, also on his final lap.
A pair of P2s were third and fourth. Olivier Pla in the #42 Oak Racing Morgan Nissan lapped half a second slower than Pruett at 1:53.567, while Johannes van Overbeek in the #2 Extreme Speed HPD ARX-03b was a further two tenths behind.
Jann Mardenborough in the #06 Muscle Milk/Pickett Racing Oreca Nissan finished fifth, seven tenths back with a lap of 1:53.887. Just over a second covered the top ten in Prototype.

Corvette Racing, which had run second all day Thursday, finally broke through in to the GTLM lead. Antonio Garcia in the #3 C7.R was quickest by a quarter second with a lap of 1:59.133, the fastest GT lap of the meet.
Right behind Garcia came the two BMW Team RLL Z4 GTEs. Dirk Müller in the #56 was quicker of the pair with a lap of 1:59.367, but just barely. Andy Priaulx was only nine thousands slower.
Oliver Gavin in the #4 Corvette was fourth in class at 1:59.530, Followed by the pair of Porsche North America RSRs. The top six were all under two minutes. The top seven GTLMs were within a second and the whole field within two.
