Seems like phone users prefer affordability as the Galaxy Note 3, which was released in September 2013, has slowly beat its competitor the iPhone 5S and relative Galaxy S4 in sales, according to The Gamer Headlines.
The Note 3 sold over 10 million units in just 2 months.
When compared to the iPhone 5S, the Note is larger which makes it heavier but also gives it a larger touch screen. The Galaxy Note 3 comes in at $717.60 while the iPhone 5S (32GB) costs $748.
In comparison to the Samsung Galaxy S4, the Note can be operated with the S pen, and operates on the more recent Android 4.3 system.
According to Engadget, the Note 3 was released in 58 countries but did particularly well in China where consumers were especially attracted to the pen feature. Samsung then launched the phone in “rose gold” and “merlot red” in the region before it did anywhere else.
