A gunman is reportedly inside Family Care Providers Medical Center in Fresno, California, and police have blocked off streets. San Joaquin Memorial High School was placed on lockdown.
Police are calling for a negotiator to deal with the situation, reported ABC-30.
Police entered the building to search for the suspect, the Fresno Bee reported.
The center is located Lamona Avenue and Fresno Street and those were blocked, the station reported.
A teacher confirmed that San Joaquin Memorial was locked down, but students have already left.
Preliminary reports said that a man pointed a black handgun at a woman inside the center.
Police have the medical center surrounded, reported KMPH Fox 26. The station reported that the building was evacuated.
