Manchester United 3, Fulham 0
In form striker, Wayne Rooney, struck twice as United beat Fulham at Old Trafford on Sunday.Rooney, who was denied in the first half with a long-range effort, was quick to make his mark in the second half by scoring after just 30 seconds.
Fulham keeper Mark Schwarzer denied Darren Fletcher, but Rooney made the game safe after Dimitar Berbatov had built up the attack in the 84th minute.
Berbatov then was on the receiving end when Ji-Sung Park floated a cross for him to score a third Manchester United goal.
With the win, United climbed past Chelsea and Arsenal into first place in the Premier League with a two-point margin. Chelsea does have a game in hand though.
Hull 1, Arsenal 2
Nicklas Bendtner scored an injury-time winner to see the Gunners steal a win against 10-man Hull.
Arsenal took the lead with a pretty passing play that ended with Andrei Arshavin slotting in from close range near the quarter-hour mark.
Sol Campbell took down Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink as he was chasing back to goal and gave away a penalty in the process. Jimmy Bullard stepped up to convert the penalty, leveling the score.
At the end of the first half, George Boateng received a second yellow card for a bad foul on Bacary Sagna and was ejected. Hull had to play the rest of the match with 10 men.
Bendtner converted a rebound deep into injury time to keep the Gunners very much in the title race. They are level on points with Chelsea but have a much worse goal differential.
Chelsea 4, West Ham 1
Chelsea thumped West Ham in a London derby, which sees the Hammers teetering over the drop zone.
Florent Malouda crossed over to an unmarked Alex for him to head in after a quarter-hour of play.
The Hammers pulled one back as Scott Parker blasted a voracious half-volley a quarter-hour later.
But that was, by a long shot, West Ham’s brightest part of the game and Chelsea then went on to take control with ease, with Malouda playing a decisive part.
Drogba headed in from Malouda’s cross and then Malouda slotted in his own before Drogba sealed the deal with a goal in the 90th minute.

In “Monday night football,” Liverpool beat last place Portsmouth 4–1. Spanish striker Fernando Torres scored two goals and the Reds climbed into fifth place with 51 points. They have, however, played two more games than sixth place Manchester City with 50 points.
Aston Villa has three games in hand on the Reds and sit in seventh place with 46 points.
