Actor Chris Evans finally got a spoonful of his own medicine.
Perennial prankster Evans appeared on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” alongside co-star, Elizabeth Olsen to promote their new film, “Captain America: Civil War.” During the May 2 airing, Ellen DeGeneres took a walk down memory lane, recapping a 2015 appearance by Evans on the talk show, where he frightened Scarlett Johansson during the pair’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” press tour.
The actor tip-toed in his socks onto the set as Johansson discussed her relationship with the 34-year-old actor. The move left the actress rattled.
On the May 2 airing, Evans also startled Olsen prior to the show taping, who was made to believe QVC products were in the bathroom of her dressing room. Upon entrance, Evans, crouched over in the corner of the bathroom, jumps up and frightens the 27-year-old actress, who holds her face and screams a blood curdling scream.
The show then switches gears and they begin to discuss puppies. Evans gushes over his love for his rescued dog, Dodger, and it is then that an Iron Man-dressed man jumps out from the side table, scaring the daylights out of Evans. Chris Evans falls back into Olsen with his hands frozen in front of him, and doubles over into a fit of laughter.
Evans admits defeat: “You got me.” He is also a good sport, asking DeGeneres to replay the scene.
“Captain America: Civil War” is scheduled for release on May 6.
