Divisional Playoffs - New York Giants v Green Bay Packers

Giants quarterback Eli Manning left Wednesday’s practice with a stomach bug, according to head coach Tom Coughlin. “Eli started practice but did not finish,” Coughlin announced afterwards. “Hopefully it is just a 24-hour deal and he will feel better tomorrow.”

The Giants (11–7) are preparing for this Sunday’s NFC Championship match in San Francisco (14–3). No other quarterback on the roster besides Manning has attempted a pass for New York this season, and Manning hasn’t missed a start since assuming the starting position midway through his rookie season (2004).

Naturally, Manning’s teammates don’t appear worried. Said wide receiver Hakeem Nicks, following practice, “I don’t think it’s going to affect him at all. He’s alright; he’s as tough as they come.”

Safety Antrel Rolle, echoed Nicks’ comments: “Nothing’s going to stop him at this point. I’m pretty sure a lot of us feel the same way.”
