Elderly Couple Take ‘Car Accident Selfie’

An elderly couple in Los Angeles is getting quite a bit of attention after their car flipped. Nobody was injured in the crash, but it appears as though selfies were taken right after it happened.

An elderly couple in Los Angeles is getting quite a bit of attention after their car flipped.

Nobody was injured in the crash, but it appears as though selfies were taken right after it happened.

“Benjamin Neufeld says he was in the kitchen when he heard commotion. He went outside to find people standing around his wife’s blue Honda, which was on its side”(KTLA).

In the meantime, Elizabeth asked for her purse, so she could whip out her smart phone. Once she had it in her hand, it looked as though she posed for selfies while trapped inside the auto.

“Cara Steinburg snapped the photo. It shows her neighbor, 85-year-old Elizabeth Neufeld, trapped in her car while holding her phone, and posing with her husband Ben”(ABC).

In a news interview, Ben told reporters he didn’t take any selfies, and doesn’t think his wife did either.

The couple has been married for over 60 years, and was in good spirits after the accident.
