Joaquin Guzman Lorea--the former Mexican Sinaloa cartel boss known as “El Chapo” who is currently in prison--has not died.

A bogus article on Huzlers.com, however, says that the drug lord was found dead in his cell.

According to Huzlers’ disclaimer, it’s a satirical website. “Huzlers.com is a combination of real shocking news and satirical entertainment to keep its visitors in a state of disbelief,” it says in its About Us section on the bottom-right on every page.

In part, the El Chapo article reads: “This Wednesday afternoon Joaquin Guzman Loera was found lifeless inside the Altiplano prison in the State of Mexico. According to early reports, the body of the Mr. Guzman , 56, was found today ‘with dents all over the body’ after missing a roll call of prisoners, said in a statement by the government.”

The bogus Huzlers article had several thousand likes on Facebook as of Thursday afternoon.

Earlier this year, Guzman was arrested by Mexican officials. He’s currently in prison and there’s multiple US indictments against him.

According to a Forbes report a few weeks ago, “The Mexican government said it has no intention of extraditing Guzmán, even though many Mexicans have expressed doubts through social media about Mexico’s fragile justice system’s ability to prosecute him and keep him in jail.”
