NEW YORK—R. Glenn Hubbard, senior economic adviser to presidential candidate Mitt Romney, and Jeffrey Liebman, senior economic adviser to President Barack Obama, will discuss economic policies proposed by the two candidates at Columbia University Oct. 8.
The event, which begins at 6 p.m., is already full, but will be live streamed online from http://www.worldleaders.columbia.edu/
Also involved with the event as panelists are Columbia faculty members Sharyn O'Halloran, a political scientist and economist; Joseph Stiglitz, acclaimed author and economist; and Michael Woodford, economist and bank adviser. Chrystia Freeland, global editor-at-large at Thomson Reuters, will moderate.
On Oct. 15 at Columbia University’s Teachers College, a debate between the education advisers of the presidential candidates followed by a question and answer will take place. This event is still open for registration, both in New York City and via webcast at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. The event will also be live streamed for the general public.
