East Harlem Icon La Marqueta Revived
It wasn’t an easy Thursday opening speech for City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito. While introducing, recognizing, and thanking all the parties involved in reviving a Harlem landmark La Marqueta, she was muted multiple times, as Metro-North train units roared over her head.
