An earthquake hit today near off the coast of Costa Rica, about 54 miles from the capitol of San Jose.
The 5.2 magnitude quake also hit 13 miles west of Jaco; 23 miles south of Puntarenas and 24 miles south of Chacarita.
The quake hit at a depth of 10.1 miles, the U.S Geological Service said.
