An earthquake hit today in California near Bakersfield, Pine Mountain Club, and Lamont.
It was 24 miles south-southwest from Bakersfield, and about 20 miles southwest of Lamont and Arvin. It was also about 12 miles north of Pine Mountain Club.
The 3.6 magnitude quake shook homes in the area but did little to no damage.
It hit at a depth of 8.5 miles and around 10 p.m. local time.
