Several Dunkin’ Donuts employees who stoically resisted a racist, profanity-laced rant were praised and will be recognized by the chain.
Am 8-minute video emerged this week taken by a Florida woman who was apparently mad over employees not giving her a meal over a forgotten receipt. The woman was identified as Taylor Chapman, 27, of Boward County, according to The Smoking Gun website.
“Because I’m about to nuke your whole [expletive] planet from Mars,” Chapman said in the video after she saw the worker who apparently forgot the receipt.
The video went viral on Facebook, generating a large amount of criticism towards the woman.
“You think you all are tough big fat Arabs bombing the Trade Center? I'll show you tough,” she added.
Throughout the incident, Dunkin' Donuts employees did not react negatively to her and completed the order.“Whatever you want, I will get it for you,” one of the employees, identified as Abid Adar, told her in the video.
However, a large number of commenters on YouTube, Facebook, and other websites did. “The woman is mentally disturbed,” said one commenter on The Smoking Gun.
“Store employees had every right to call the cops. Now *that* would’ve been some good video,” another said.
Dunkin' Donuts lauded the two employees.
We’re proud of how r crew member handled this situation. The franchise owner of the restaurant plans 2 recognize the crew member,” Dunkin' Donuts said on Twitter.
