CHANGWON, South Korea—On April 9, Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company presented two performances in Changwon. After seeing the evening show, Mr. Choi Nag-Young, director of the Gyeongsangnam Culture, Tourism and Sport Bureau, said, “The scenery on the backdrops for each program was so beautiful. I was really thrilled.”
The performances presented by Shen Yun have caused quite a stir in the Changwon area. Though they were not presented on holidays, all the tickets for the two shows were sold out. Many audience members attended with their friends or relatives. In particular, many were from other artistic groups or organizations.
Director Choi spoke highly of Shen Yun. He said, “They were very exhilarating and exquisite performances, with the flavor of traditional Chinese culture.
He specifically mentioned that he was particular impressed by the program When Shaolin Monks Protected the Emperor. He said, “The Shaolin monks in that program really touched my heart. They were really very creative.”
“The scenery on the backdrops is so spectacular. The orchestra is also amazingly good.
“The overall performance is exquisite as well. I feel like introducing this show to more people around me. It is said that the show will be performed in Seoul too. As my wife is currently living in Seoul, I'll definitely invite her to see the performances in Seoul,” Mr. Choi emphasized.
