When decorating your bedroom, it’s important to keep in mind the primary purpose of the room - sleep! So it goes without saying, it should be kept simple and promote calmness and serenity.

First, start by choosing a color scheme. For the bedroom, it’s a good idea to choose muted, complimentary colors -- we decided to go with chocolate and burnt orange in this recipe. We love how these colors add some warmth to the room!

Next, we added accessories and decorations such as the tall piece of artwork to give the low platform bed some height, as well as a pottery vase on the nightstand. These subtle accessories add interest without creating too much drama.
