Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas Talk Love Lives During ‘Carpool Karaoke’ With James Corden

A car ride he wish he hadn’t taken.

In a segment of carpool karaoke on “The Late Late Show With James Corden,” singer Nick Jonas was grilled about his love life by good friend and musician Demi Lovato and James Corden.

“You dated Joe (Jonas),” Corden says to Lovato during the May 16 airing. “You dated Selena Gomez,” he continues to Nick. “You two never...?”

“No, nope” they both reply.

The pair are celebrating their tenth year of friendship and have never had the hots for each other. Lovato tends to date older men and the pair are both 23.

“I don’t know if you’ve noticed by I kinda go for older guys, no offense,” says Lovato, as she looks in Jonas’ direction.

And when Corden still needs help to detangle Jonas’ love life, count on good friend Lovato to offer assistance.

“Nick, you’re seemingly dating everyone,” states Corden to Jonas. “And who else?”

“Miley (Cyrus) and then back with Selena (Gomez) and then back with Miley,” explains Lovato.

“Thank you Demi,” an unenthusiastic Jonas replies. 

The trio continues to delve into the 23-year-old’s love life, including the time when he wore a purity ring and the moment he decided to ditch the ring.

“I had a real relationship with an adult—I fell in love, actually,” he reveals. “I fell in love and decided it was time to take the purity ring off.”

Jonas sheepishly inquires about changing the subject away from his love life and the trio finally partake in the segment’s name: carpool karaoke.

The threesome then belt out their best renditions of Lovato’s “Heart Attack,” Jonas’s “Close,” and DNCE’s “Cake By the Ocean.”

Lovato and Jonas are hitting the road together this summer and Corden hopes to join them on the road as a perfomer. Before the pair gives Corden the okay, they decide to test our their musical compatibility with the people of Los Angeles in a street performance.

The gang performs “Confident” with Corden on makeshift drums made of plastic buckets, Jonas on the guitar and Lovato on the vocals. A crowd forms and jams out with the stars, with some even tipping them with cash.
