In the Gulf of Mexico, Nautilus Live expedition crew is studying methane seeps using Hercules, a remotely operated vehicle.
On Tuesday, to the delight of the crew aboard the expedition ship, a massive sperm whale paid a surprise visit to Hercules. ROV Hercules was at the depth of 1,962 feet at the time.
