An Egyptian couple seeking medical treatment in France were among the 66 who died in the crash of Flight 804, leaving behind three orphaned children, according to NBCNews.
Reham Mosad and her husband Ahmed el Ashry had traveled to Paris to seek treatment for her cancer.
After spending a month there, the couple were bound home to Cairo on EgyptAir flight 804 to reunite with their children: Adam, Salma, and Alia, according to NBCNews.
Egyptian authorities said over the weekend they found human remains in the wreckage of the aircraft.
The school newspaper at Modern Academy, where Mosad worked as a teacher’s assistant, published a tribute to Mosad and her husband.
Although the couple had been advised by some to stay in Egypt and seek treatment, they decided to make the trip to Paris.
“I don’t want to leave [Mosad] alone, if something happens to her I can’t imagine how I would live, either we live together or die together and I can’t imagine what life would be without her,” el Ashry was quoted on a Facebook post by the school their children attend, NBC News reported.
School authorities have allowed the three children to continue their education at the school.
